What does a lesson look like?

A mini-project might involve designing a room, inventing a character or planning a trip. Learners explore useful expressions, practise with their teacher and then present their idea. Revision returns in new contexts so language becomes more than an exercise on paper.

We begin by discussing the learner’s experience and goals. Age is a guide, not a substitute for checking skills. Materials and pace are chosen so tasks are accessible while leaving room to grow.

We look beyond correct answers to independence: can the learner ask for clarification, find another word and finish a thought? Regularly revisiting material helps turn exercise-based knowledge into useful conversation.

For parents: support without pressure

Ask what your child managed to say today rather than testing a whole vocabulary list. A few relaxed minutes with a picture or story can support revision. If your child needs more time, we will discuss suitable support together.
